Terrorist: Miyagi always seems to shrug off the cares of the world with a joke and a smile, but even he has problems, although he doesn't let them show. Foremost is Shinobu, a relentless young man who's adamant that they're destined to be together.

Misaki Takahashi (高橋 美咲, Takahashi Misaki^?) is the 18 (19 in episode 8 of Junjo Romantica) year old younger brother of Takahiro. At the start of the series, Misaki is about to sit for his college entrance examinations. His dream is to go to Mitsuhashi University since that was the college his brother dropped out of so that he could begin taking care of Misaki after their parents died. Although seemingly childish and brash, Misaki is later revealed to be a person who is simply adamant on insisting against doing anything that might be troublesome for anyone else. This is due to the fact that he still blames himself for his parents' death (believing that if he had not asked them to hurry home, they would not have sped in the rain and crashed). Misaki and Usami eventually begin a relationship together which puzzles Misaki, who is unconfident about his feelings towards the older man. In the anime adaption, he is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai

Akihiko Usami (宇佐見 秋彦, Usami Akihiko^?) is a 28 year old popular author of fiction and erotic BL (Boys' Love) novels, and the youngest recipient of the distinguished Naomori Award. His nickname is "Usagi", which means "rabbit" in Japanese. Usagi is Misaki's tutor for the upcoming entrance exams, and a very close friend of Takahiro (he, in fact, harbored an unrequited love for Takahiro for a long time). He and Hiroki were childhood friends. Shortly after meeting Misaki, he finds that Takahiro has gotten engaged. Seeing how upset this makes Misaki on Usagi's behalf, Usagi realizes that he loves the younger boy and the two become lovers. In the anime adaptation, he is voiced by Hikaru Hanada.

Nowaki Kusama (草間 野分, Kusama Nowaki^?) was orphaned without a name as an infant, he was named "Nowaki" ("typhoon" in Japanese) by the head of the orphanage because he was found in a heavy rain storm. Elders call him "Wacchan". Nowaki first meets Hiroki 6 years ago, when he is crying about his fruitless relationship with Akihiko, and goes on to insist that Hiroki become his tutor. Originally studying to become a social worker, he changes his mind and is currently studying to become a pediatrician. Nowaki is very kind and understanding, particularly towards Hiroki.He is 4 years apart from Hiroki which puts him at 25 years-old In the anime adaptation, he is voiced by Nobutoshi Canna.

Hiroki Kamijō (上條 弘樹, Kamijō Hiroki^?) in the anime, he is 29 years-old and a long-time friend of Akihiko's, who is an associate professor at the college Misaki studies at. He is a bit of a loner and is extremely passionate about classical Japanese literature, apparently having graduated at the top of his class. Hiroki was initially in love with Akihiko, his childhood friend. He is an example of the tsundere character archetype: he has a bad temper and is feared among his students, though he is actually shy and gets flustered easily. He is often called "Demon Kamijou" by the students. Hiroki is now in a relationship with Nowaki and Nowaki calls him Hiro-san. In the anime adaptation, he is voiced by Kentarō Itō.

Shinobu Takatsuki (高槻 忍, Takatsuki Shinobu^?) is an 18-year old high school student (and the son of Mitsuhashi University's dean of literature and of Miyagi's boss) who believes it to be fate that he is in love with his ex-brother-in-law, Miyagi Yo. He would very much like Miyagi to take responsibility for Shinobu falling in love with him. He is often blunt and unreasonable, though he is shown to have a softer side. In the anime adaptation, he is voiced by Daisuke Kishio.

Yō Miyagi (宮城 庸, Miyagi Yō^?) in the anime, he is 35 year-old and a literature professor at Mitsuhashi University and a co-worker of Kamijo Hiroki. He was once married, but is now divorced most likely due to his indifference to feelings and emotions. His love interest is Takatsuki Shinobu, his young ex-brother-in-law. Miyagi is often playful when it comes to teasing Hiroki, though his true character is far more serious due to an event from his past. In the anime adaptation, he is voiced by Kazuhiko Inoue.

GACKT

GACKT (神威楽斗, Kamui Gakuto, born July 4, 1973) is a singer, songwriter, model, designer, actor, voice actor, author, poet and multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar, violin, drums, bass, trumpet, tuba, french horn, trombone, and so on…) famous in Japan. Since the launch of his solo career, he has gained an even greater fandom and notoriety than he had while working as the vocalist of the iconic visual kei band MALICE MIZER, and has been extremely successful.

His career ‘began’ when he and his friend You formed the band CAINS:FEEL with Gackt as the drummer and eventually on vocals. His career began to truly blossom when he joined the band MALICE MIZER. Though his true reasons for later leaving MALICE MIZER remain a mystery it is rumored he left because he wasn’t allowed to assist in writing/composing the music as much as he wanted to. In 1999 he went to begin a solo career with a band he calls GacktJOB.

Gackt’s talents include composing all of his music and writing all of his lyrics. He can also play nine different instruments: the piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums, trumpet, tuba, trombone, horn, and euphonium. In 2003, Gackt co-wrote and co-starred in the movie MOON CHILD alongside HYDE of L’Arc~en~Ciel. He was the model for the protagonist of the video game Bujingai and more recently a mysterious character known as ‘Genesis’ in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. He has acted in many different commercials and voice-acted for the anime New Fist of the North Star (Shin Hokuto no Ken). In 2005, he was commissioned to write and perform the theme songs for Zeta Gundam: A New Translation, which were
‘Metamorphoze’ and a new arrangement of the song ‘君が待っているから’.

At Otakon, on August 5th, 2006, YOSHIKI of X JAPAN announced he will be forming a band with Gackt. “I’m also starting a band with… Well a lot of you probably know him… Gackt! Yeah… It was kind of a secret. I talked to him on the phone last night… I guess it’s all right.” Note: It has now been confirmed that GACKT, SUGIZO, Miyavi and YOSHIKI along will be creating a “super-band” together (S.K.I.N.) and touring the USA in 2007 after their concert in the Anime Expo in the Convention Center in Long Beach, Los Angeles CA.

On December 19, 2007 Gackt released an album 0079-0088 themed after the Mobile Suit Gundam series and was released in a regular edition and two limited editions. The limited ones contain narration by Toru Furuya (who provides the voice of Gundam character Amuro Ray) and Shuichi Ikeda (voice actor of Char Aznable), respectively.

On May 25, 2007, the formation of the supergroup Skin was announced which, besides Gackt, consists of fellow pop/rock artist Miyavi, former Luna Sea guitarist Sugizo, and X Japan co-founder Yoshiki. The group gave its debut performance at the Anime Expo convention in Long Beach, California on June 29, 2007 and plans to release an album.

Gackt lent his voice and stage name for the creation of the newest Vocaloid, Kamui Gakupo (神威がくぽ, Kamui Gakupo). Yamaha wanted to utilize the voice of a musician but felt it would be difficult to acquire cooperation. They consulted Dwango (new owner of Vocaloid publisher Internet Co. Ltd.), who suggested Gackt, as Gackt had previously provided his voice for Dwango’s cell phone services. Referred to alternately as Gakupoid or Gackpoid, the most recent release includes a new program, OPUS Express, for mixing vocal parts with accompaniment and phoneme data. The new software will be available for download for users with registered copies of previous Vocaloids. Besides the new program, Gackpoid will include two of Gackt’s songs and three example songs.

The product was originally intended to be released in June 2008, but although Gackt existed as a model for the Vocaloid, it lacked an illustrated avatar to match the previous Vocaloids. Popular manga author Kentarō Miura, famous for his dark fantasy epic Berserk, was approached. Due to Miura’s affection for Nico Nico Douga, he agreed to offer his services as character designer for free. As a fan of Berserk, Gackt was more than happy with this arrangement, and requested Miura’s sketches be faxed to him as well as the developers, even though he was on location for the filming of Guy Moshe’s Bunraku.

In February 2010, Gackt was confirmed to voice Maltazard in the Japanese dubbed version of the movie Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard. Gackt held the men-only concert at Club Citta’ Kawasaki, under band name Yellow Fried Chickenz (as consisting solely of rock songs, the name refers to the human cowardice)[22], to continue with performances June 10th from Zepp Tokyo.[23] Also it has been confirmed Gackt will tour Europe for the first time, for now at a very selective choice of clubs in London, Paris, Barcelona, München and Bochum[24][25].

On April 16 it was officially announced that Gackt was transferring to a new record company, Avex Group “in pursuit of creating the one and only entertainment.”[26] The first single with this new company titled “Ever” will be the theme song of the multiplayer online role-playing game Dragon Nest, that will be launched around July[27].

LARC EN CIEL

Formed in 1991, L’Arc～en～Ciel is one of the most popular rock bands from Japan. The band consists of vocalist hyde, leader and bassist tetsuya, guitarist ken, and drummer yukihiro, who replaced drummer sakura in 1997. From their beginnings in Osaka, Japan, they previously included guitarist hiro and drummer pero. All four members are established composers which adds variety to their catalog of songs.

 Their music ranges from ballads, to hard rock, to light pop-rock tunes. Their debut single Blurry Eyes released in 1994 was used as the opening theme for the animated TV show DNA². In late 1996, L’Arc～en～Ciel gained worldwide attention for the first time after the release of their fourth album, True. This album includes the single the Fourth Avenue Cafe, which was used as an ending theme for the popular animated TV show Rurouni Kenshin. However, drummer sakura was arrested for drug possession and consequently all L’Arc～en～Ciel merchandise was removed from store shelves. The release of their single the Fourth Avenue Cafe was canceled and the song was immediately removed from the TV series.

sakura left the band in 1997, and former die in cries drummer yukihiro replaced him for the REINCARNATION tour that year, subsequently serving as a support member for their first single after the incident, 虹 (Niji). Eventually, yukihiro officially joined the band and released the album HEART in 1998. After the release of their eighth album REAL in 2000, L’Arc～en～Ciel went on a hiatus, releasing only compilation albums aside from their 2001 single, Spirit dreams inside -another dream-, the theme for the CG-animated Final Fantasy movie. During this time, each member engaged in solo projects: yukihiro with the band acid android, ken and former L’Arc～en～Ciel drummer sakura with SONS OF ALL PUSSYS, HYDE as a solo artist, and tetsu as TETSU69. On March 31st, 2004, L’Arc～en～Ciel released SMILE, their first album in four years.

 On July 31st, 2004, L’Arc～en～Ciel performed their first concert in the United States at Otakon, a Japanese animation convention. They performed for an audience of more than 12,000 in Baltimore, Maryland. They are best known outside of Japan for the song READY STEADY GO, which served as the second opening theme for the animated series Fullmetal Alchemist, and Link for the show’s respective theatrical film. These songs earned them substantial Western popularity and attention to their album, SMILE, which was released in the United States by American label Tofu Records. After more than a year since SMILE, the band released AWAKE on June 22nd, 2005, which was accompanied by ASIALIVE, L’Arc～en～Ciel’s first tour to take them to South Korea and China, as well as the Japanese AWAKE tour.

The year 2006 marked the band’s 15th anniversary since their debut. It was celebrated with the release of a box set of books titled L’Arc～en～Ciel BOX, re-releases of their first 15 singles along with the albums ark and ray, and the L’Anniversary live concerts held on November 25th and 26th. They also finally released the Fourth Avenue Cafe, the single canceled nearly 10 years prior, as part of their 15th anniversary celebrations. The year 2007 saw increased activity for the band, with the release of four new singles, four DVD releases, the new album KISS, and the beginning of two back-to-back tours. The first was TOUR 2007-2008 THEATER OF KISS in Japan, followed by L’7 ～trans ASIA via PARIS～. The latter tour took them through Shanghai, Taiwan, Paris, Seoul, Hong Kong, and a return to Japan for shows in Tokyo and Osaka. At the end of this tour it was announced that the band would not tour again until their 20th anniversary in 2011.

 The band, however, says they’re not on hiatus. 2008 saw the release of two new single from the band, DRINK IT DOWN released in April, and the double A-side NEXUS 4 / SHINE in August. Since then, HYDE has begun a new solo project with former Oblivion Dust guitarist K.A.Z as VAMPS, with the release of a self-titled album and successful tours in Japan and the United States. With the legacy of 11 albums and 35 singles, L’Arc～en～Ciel continue to gather more and more fans throughout the world who eagerly await their return to renewed band activities.



KUROSHITSUJI 1 & 2

KUROSHITSUJI 1

Synopsis

In Victorian-era Europe, a young boy loses everything he once held near and dear to a vicious plot. In his moment of death, he strikes a deal with a demon: his soul, in exchange for revenge. Ciel Phantomhive is now the head of the Phantomhive corporation, handling all business affairs as well as the underground work for the Queen of England. His new partner is a demon butler, Sebastian Michaelis, whose powers as a butler is only surpassed by his strength as a demon.

The story follows the two along with their other servants, as they work to unravel the plot behind Ciel's parents' murder, and the horrendous tragedies that befell Ciel in the month directly after. 

     Ciel Phantomhive (シエル・ファントムハイヴ)

Birthday: 14 December 1875

The Phantomhive family has, for years, been well known for making toys and sweets for small children. However, they are also the Queen's watchdogs; the Phantomhive family keeps an eye on black market dealings in ways that Scotland Yard isn't able to. Ciel Phantomhive is the heir to this legacy.

Earl Ciel Phantomhive is the business-savvy, twelve-year-old (later thirteen-year-old) head of the English Phantomhive noble family, taking over after the deaths of his parents, Lord Vincent and Lady Rachel Phantomhive. He also runs Funtom Company, which manufactures toys and sweets, and later adds a food branch after winning a Royal Warrant. His right eye, which is usually covered with a black eyepatch, bears a pentacle sign of the Faustian contract which binds the demon Sebastian Michaelis to his will.

Ciel is engaged to his cousin, Elizabeth Middleford. He sees her as an important friend and someone he needs to protect. His parents were killed and his mansion set ablaze on his birthday, a reason why he does not like to celebrate the occasion. This tragedy causes him to not want to lose anyone important again.

Despite his young age, he runs the family company and as such is quite busy much of the time though he still finds time to go out investigating dubious legal matters.

The young earl is far more composed and mature than would be expected. He remains distant from others, aloof, preferring to spend his time on work for the company. He is oftentimes selfish and not able to fully empathize with people. However, he does express occasional concern for the well-being of those close to him.

As a side note, Ciel seems to enjoy drinking tea a lot (he is adept at distinguishing between them as well) and sweet desserts. He has asthma (inherited from his mother) and dislikes being around cats because they trigger his allergies.

              Sebastian Michaelis (セバスチャン・ミカエリス)

Sebastian Michaelis is the series' antihero. He is the butler of the Phantomhive household and acts as Ciel's bodyguard, two jobs he is completely devoted to.

Sebastian often describes himself through the phrase "Because I am one hell of a butler" (わたしはあくまで執事ですから, Aku made shitsuji desu kara?). The phrase plays on the word "demon" (あくま, akuma?) and the phrase "to the end" (あくまで, aku made?). It can also translate to "I am a demon and a butler". He is highly skilled in any area and handles every task, no matter how impossible it is as well as any problem that arises from the errors of the other staff with ease, stating it is only natural as the butler to the Phantomhive family. This is due to the fact he is a demon bound by a Faustian contract to abide by Ciel's will. A sign similar to the one marking Ciel's right eye can be found on Sebastian's left hand, which has been used on one occasion to twist the arm of a kidnapper without touching him.

The name Sebastian is in fact a temporary name given to him by Ciel and was previously held by Ciel's dog. He bears a striking resemblance to Ciel's father. In the anime adaption, Sebastian can take the form of a crow. Sebastian's true demonic form has not been fully revealed. However, a depiction of sharper teeth, high-heeled boots, and elongated nails have been given. In the manga adaptation, Sebastian appears to Ciel in his true form, while in the anime version, he appears as a crow. His name is similar to that of Father Sebastien Michaelis, who compiled a hierarchy of demons in Hell

   Synopsis

Even more curiously, he returned with Claude Faustus, an enigmatic, emotionless butler with unfathomable talent...

 Alois Trancy (アロイス・トランシー)

Earl Alois Trancy, is the head of the Trancy household and referred to as " Your Highness" by both his butler Claude Faustus, and his maid Hannah Anafeloz.

It is stated that he is 14 years old at the beginning of the story, with the birthdate of November 5th.

His favorite food is Oily fried fish and chips.

Shortly after he was born, Alois had been kidnapped. His mother in deep grief, committed suicide, leaving Alois father to search for him alone. He was made to work as a slave in an unknown village. Something had occured in this village which killed everyone, including Alois's friend, Luca, who he once refers to as his "little brother". Alois was the only survivor of this event.

One day, Alois returned with Claude, and due to his father dying under mysterious circumstances soon after his return, Alois became the Trancy successor, something that his uncle Arnold finds questionable.

It is hinted that there is tension between Alois and his uncle, and that something may have happened in the past to have strained their relationship.
His emotions are quite unpredictable; one of his few consistent traits is his attachment to his butler, Claude, whose he tries to attract his attention frequently. He seems to have an overall cheerful disposition in spite of his hardships and misgivings, making him a sort of foil to Ciel. He seems to have taken interest in having Ciel.

Alois can be easily frightened of things such as: the dark, being alone, adding to his childish elements of his personality. And he is somewhat hyperactive. He also shows signs of sadism and narcissism.

As shown when he gouges out Hannah's eye in the first episode.
Alois also appears to be easily angered and loses interest in things very quickly. He often uses harsh and impolite language, regardless to whom he is speaking to.

His contract mark is held on his tongue and not visible at all times, where as Ciel's contract mark is in his eye and is visible at all times. His contract mark only shows if Claude is nearby. 

In episode 8, it was said by Grell that his real name is actually Jim Macken

   Claude Faustus (クロード・フォースタス)

The butler of the Trancy household.

He is a demon and he has a line similar to that of Sebastian's, which is "私は旦那様を飽くまで貪りたい" (Watashi wa danna-sama wo akumade musaboritai) which means "I want to greedily devour you to the end, my master." The kanji of "akumade" might means something else.

Claude has a very different personality then that of Sebastian Michaelis, in which he speaks and acts motionlessly, not even responding to direct taunts from Alois, such as him undoing his buttons moments after Claude fixed them. He seems to know Sebastian well, but within moments of seeing each other they begin to fight.

This is probably due to the fact that Claude seems to hate Sebastian.
He is very loyal to his master and knows his master's darkness.

He has black, short hair and wears glasses similar to those worn by William T. Spears. He has yellow, slanted eyes and a somewhat angular facial structure. His chin is quite flat. Claude can transform his body, like Sebastian. 

In the first episode he is seen in the form of a spider before making the contract with Alois.
He and Sebastian appear to be similar in height.

He wears an outfit that is similar to the one Sebastian wears, but Sebastian wears a tie while Claude wears a ribbon.

Like Sebastian, his contract mark with Alois is one his left hand covered by the gloves he wears. However, his mark isn't always visible, only becoming so when he nears Alois's. 

In episode 4, it is show that his tongue is incredibly long, reaching to the upper of his nose at rate.
